Samual “Sam” Burke
Sam’s parents were both in the medical profession, giving sam a unique understanding of the field from a young age.
Sam works daily to help our patients to get their insurance approvals. “When a patient isn’t feeling well, it’s a burden to them to make calls to their insurance provider, etc.” Sam really likes working with the team at CNY Brain and Spine and he feels good when he sees a patient after their recovery. Knowing that he was a part of the recovery is a positive part of his job!
Authorizations for surgeries and procedures is a process. Sam is experienced in starting the process and he knows how to work with the insurance companies to get patients set up for their pre-op appointments. Sam follows through until the patient is cleared for surgery. Sam says: “Watching a patient from first being seen, experiencing pain and discomfort, right on through their surgery or procedure and into a recovery stage is rewarding.”
